1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Ai Synapse Inc, doing business as Nodes) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.
2. Why do we use cookies?
We use first-party and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Website to operate, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies enable us to understand how our Website is used and to enhance the experience on our Website. Third parties serve cookies through our Website for analytics and other purposes. This is described in more detail below.
3. How can I control cookies?
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. When you first visit our Website, a cookie banner appears that lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Non-essential cookies and analytics run only after you accept. Essential cookies cannot be rejected, as they are strictly necessary to provide you with services.
You can change your decision at any time by selecting the "Consent Preferences" link in the site footer, which reopens the banner. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage key nodes.consent.v1). If you decline non-essential cookies, the Website remains fully usable. You may also set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies.
Non-essential cookies are off unless you opt in. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of non-essential cookies.
4. What cookies do we use?
The specific first-party and third-party cookies and similar technologies served through our Website, and the purposes they perform, are described in the tables below. The specific entries you see may vary depending on the pages you visit and the choices you make in the cookie banner.
Strictly necessary
These entries are required for the Website to work and to remember the choices you make. They cannot be switched off.
| Name | Purpose | Provider | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
nodes.consent.v1 |
First-party consent record. Remembers your cookie choices so the banner does not reappear on every visit and so non-essential cookies stay off unless you opted in. | nodes.inc (first party) | Browser local storage | Persists until you clear your browser storage |
Analytics and customization
These cookies collect information that is used either in aggregate form to help us understand how our Website is being used or how effective our marketing is, or to help us customize our Website for you. They run only after you accept analytics cookies in the banner.
| Name | Purpose | Provider | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Used by Google Analytics 4 to distinguish users (a unique visitor identifier for analytics). On our Website it is set only after you grant analytics consent; Consent Mode v2 keeps analytics storage denied by default. | Google LLC | HTTP cookie | 2 years (Google's default). In practice browsers may cap this: Chrome limits it to about 400 days and Safari to 7 days without a return visit. |
_ga_# |
Used by Google Analytics 4 to persist session state for our specific measurement stream (for example _ga_XXXXXXXXXX). Set only after you grant analytics consent. |
Google LLC | HTTP cookie | 2 years (Google's default), with the same browser caps as _ga. |
ph_<project-key>_posthog |
PostHog product analytics identifier store: holds your visitor ID, session ID and device ID, active feature flags, and configuration such as whether session recording (session replay) is enabled. Only essential values go in the cookie; the rest lives in local storage. | PostHog Inc. | HTTP cookie plus browser local storage | Cookie: 365 days. Local storage counterpart: does not expire (persists until cleared). |
ph_<project-key>_window_id |
Stores the current browser tab or window ID, used by PostHog to segment sessions and session replay by window. | PostHog Inc. | Session storage | Session (cleared when the tab is closed) |
ph_<project-key>_primary_window_exists |
Flag PostHog uses to detect whether a tab is new versus duplicated or restored, so window and session IDs are assigned correctly. | PostHog Inc. | Session storage | Session (cleared when the tab is closed) |
SNID |
A unique identifier used to distinguish between different visitors on the same network, used for Snitcher's business-to-business company identification: visitor IP addresses are matched against Snitcher's database to identify the visiting company. | Snitcher B.V. | HTTP cookie | 2 years |
Functional (support chat)
Our support chat is provided by Intercom Messenger. These entries load only when you open the chat, or after you accept analytics cookies (the chat's idle preload is consent-gated).
| Name | Purpose | Provider | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
intercom-id-[app_id] |
Anonymous visitor identifier that lets Intercom recognize returning visitors and continue conversations. Set on our own domain (first party). | Intercom Inc. | Browser local storage | No expiry (persists until cleared) |
intercom-session-[app_id] |
Identifier for each unique browser session; gives you access to your previous conversations in the Messenger. Extended by one hour during active use and removed when the chat session is shut down. | Intercom Inc. | HTTP cookie | 1 week |
intercom-device-id-[app_id] |
Identifier for each unique device that interacts with the Messenger, used to determine unique devices and prevent abuse. | Intercom Inc. | HTTP cookie | 270 days (refreshed on each successful ping) |
For more detail on how these providers handle cookies and data, see Google's privacy information, PostHog's persistence documentation, Snitcher's GDPR guidance, and Intercom's Messenger cookies documentation.
5. How can I control cookies on my browser?
As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information. The following is information about how to manage cookies on the most popular browsers:
In addition, most advertising networks offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising. If you would like to find out more information, please visit:

6. What about other tracking technologies, like web beacons?
Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enables us to recognize when someone has visited our Website or opened an email including them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within a website to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to the website from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of email marketing campaigns. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.
7. Do you use Flash cookies or Local Shared Objects?
No. We do not use Flash cookies (also known as Local Shared Objects or "LSOs") on our Website, and we have no plans to. If that ever changes, we will update this Cookie Policy first.
8. Do you serve targeted advertising?
No. We do not currently serve targeted advertising on the Website, and we do not set advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this Cookie Policy and request your consent before any advertising cookies are placed on your device. The advertising-industry opt-out resources listed in Section 5 are provided as general resources.
9. How often will you update this Cookie Policy?
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please therefore revisit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.
10. Where can I get further information?
